Polo Lessons - Learn to Play Polo
EXPLORE POLO LESSON
This 90 minutes Introduction session is designed for the first time Polo enthusiast looking to learn to play Polo. Whether a non rider or a seasonal rider this session introduces you to the equipment, the basics of swinging the mallet from a wooden horse and a lesson on one of our seasoned school Polo ponies. All equipment provided.

PRIVATE POLO LESSON
Learn to play Polo or improve your game with a one on one training session with our experienced instructors. These 60 minutes lessons are developed to allow you to focus on specific areas or improve your overall ability. Sessions will be customized to the needs of every individual. All equipment provided.

GROUP LESSONS
Join in a group lesson and enjoy learning the sport of Polo with the camaraderie of fellow enthusiast. Maximum six participants. All equipment provided.

TORONTO POLO SCHOOL
(Prerequisite for Toronto Polo Club application)
This eight week Polo school is designed by the Toronto Polo Club (TPC) to introduce potential players to the skills and game knowledge necessary to enjoy participating in the sport of Polo. This program will consist of weekly lessons, which will include rules, correct use of mallet, wooden horse, riding, various strokes and a weekly scrimmage session. The eight week program culminates in a graduation game. Successful participants qualify to apply for Toronto Polo Club membership.

INTENSIVE TRAINING
One to four days available May thru October
These individual programs are developed to meet the needs of each individual. Local accommodation available.
The following is a standard sample:
10:00 a.m. Light breakfast and review of schedule
10:15 a.m. Equipment review – stretches
10:30 a.m. Swing analysis – foot mallets
10:45 a.m. Focused session on swinging the mallet. Proper hitting position, balance, variety of shots, all while stationary on life size wooden horses.
12:00 noon Polo riding lesson
1:00 p.m. Lunch. Polo videos
2:30 p.m. Ponies, tack, equipment. Learn the function of each piece of tack, bits, bridles, saddles, shoeing and the proper procedure and check list before mounting a polo pony. Tacking and untacking.
3:30 p.m. Stick and ball session. Play “Keep Away” or practice chukkers with one of our experienced instructors.
